High voltage single channel signal amplifier optimized for capacitive load. Requires waveform generator to set a signal form
Applications: electro-optics (light modulation, beam deflection, beam steering), actuators (piezo, MEMS), ultrasonic devices, single channel signal amplifier
QBX-16 is a dedicated Pockels cell driver designed for continuous pulsed applications, where output voltage value should be constantly adjustable. It is essentially a single channel signal amplifier, which could serve as an electro-optical modulator, being connected to a Pockels cell. But the application field is not limited by this.
The module requires +24 V DC power supply and waveform generator to set an operating voltage and signal form. The driver is based on a voltage amplifier, maximal output voltage is 1600 V. A low-voltage input analog signal (0-5.33 V) with an arbitrary waveform is amplified with 300:1 factor and delivered to a Pockels cell.
QBX-16 contains two fans for active cooling. Driver can be supplied in PCB version only. Output polarity, gain, load type, maximum output voltage are subject to modifications.
There are several examples of possible output signal form:
